Lytfi Volksmyth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with individuals, couples, and families in mental health and addiction for over 30 years. He provides skilled, compassionate support across many challenges and facilitates positive change in his clients. His interests in cultural effects on psychology reflect his love for the nature and small rural communities of Maine, where he worked in community mental health, hospital, private practice, and addiction treatment centers. Lytfi earned degrees from Bates College (BA) and the University of Southern Maine’s Graduate School of Social Work (MSW).

Having lived, studied, and taught abroad in China and Japan, his understanding of universal principles in psychology and human development complements his strengths in mindfulness, CBT, existential therapy, Gestalt, and Jungian approaches. Lytfi feels called to support the engagement of individuals, couples, and families in making lasting change.

However you feel challenged, Lytfi’s role as a professional is to help others to turn challenges into opportunities. Whether you want to come to terms with issues, examine yourself, or develop peace of mind, his approach to resolving conflicts is authentic and compassionate.
