Kielty is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in community mental health, higher education and substance use disorder treatment and prevention.  She is passionate about mindfulness-based approaches to mental health promotion and interventions, with training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  Kielty particularly focuses on starting where the client is at, together identifying their values and goals to facilitate the changes that they are seeking in their lives.

 

Kielty has a doctoral degree (DSW) from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice, and Master’s degrees from Adelphi University and Marist College. After practicing in New York, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania, Kielty is happy to call Maine her forever home. In addition to meditation and yoga, she enjoys kayaking, and hiking with her family’s miniature Australian Shepherd named Nellie.
