Our residence in Kennebunkport is located just a short drive from the beach, where clients can enjoy surfing and beach walks year-round. In the summer, Kennebunkport is a spectacular celebration of natural beauty.
Tucked away in the lush coastal forest, our Kennebunkport residence is the largest and most modern of our residences. Formerly built as a vacation rental estate, it boasts modern design and amenities in keeping with the highest standards of hospitality—all just a short drive from our sister campuses and downtown Portland.

Depending on their level of care, young adults at Cornerstones of Maine may live in any one of our residences. Boasting historic charm and modern amenities, our homes are an unforgettable refuge for building a new life in adulthood.
Shaw
Shaw residence is the largest of our three homes. Located on a quiet residential street just a few blocks from downtown Biddeford, this residence is stately yet intimate, offering plenty of room to grow. The residence provides all-gender accommodations and boasts 12,000 square feet of living space.
Biddeford is home to the University of New England, with a beautiful coastal campus. Located 20 minutes outside of Portland and directly on the public transportation line, Shaw offers clients the opportunity to take part in enriching vocational and educational opportunities in Portland as well.

West End
Our West End residence is a spacious and beautiful New England home located in the heart of Portland. Tucked in the highly sought-after neighborhood known as the West End district, this residence is within walking distance to Portland’s bustling downtown and public parks. Although classified as a city, Portland is smaller in size and situated on a peninsula, making everything easily accessible by walking, biking, utilizing public transportation, or driving a short distance.
West End is structured and staffed the same as Shaw, but provides a more immersive community experience, given the clients’ ability to walk out the door and access the city around them. Portland is a very progressive and welcoming city, allowing our clients to live and thrive in a much more culturally diverse environment than many areas of Maine. This diversity is reflected not only in the people that inhabit the city, but the different culinary experiences that exist, the shops that are owned by members of the community, and in the flourishing music and art scene. The LGBTQIA+ community in Portland is very safe and welcoming, which is a huge benefit for our population. Job opportunities and apprenticeship opportunities are abundant in Portland. Our clients have been employed in industries such as hospitality, finance, the arts, healthcare, education, and fitness.
